Dress Like Your Co-Worker Day

Posted by: Queensboro on: April 22, 2009

Last Friday, Queensboro held a “Dress Like your Co-Worker Day.” I wish I had been in the office, because, judging from the pictures below, I missed a really funny day.

Eli Dresses like Christian

Christian (left) loves Phish. Eli is just hilarious. Christian always has a coffee cup in his hand, and does, actually, walk around with his hand in his pocket. He also wears a hat almost every day.

Jen B. Dresses like Heather C. and Heather C. Dresses like Jen B.

This picture doesn’t even communicate half of the story, because these two came to work dressed like each other. Jen B. (left) is a dead ringer for Heather C.’s general pattern of dress. Hats, chunky jewelry, and spectacular high heels with jeans, which you can’t see. Jen B is generally a bit more casual than Heather C.

Susan Dresses like Kit

Kit is one of our logo specialists. Many of his designs have been featured here on the blog. I would describe him as a punk/surfer dude. Susan hit the mark exactly with her slicked back hair, metal belt and skull shirt. Thankfully, Kit was dressed normally, so the picture is really funny.

Heather L Dresses like Kevin

Kevin is very outdoorsy. What he and Heather are wearing is Kevin’s standard uniform. Down to the coffee cup. I’ve never seen someone drink so many fluids during the course of the day in my life.

Where Things get Interesting

Donna Dresses like Melisa

Melisa is our metal vegetarian, and talented logo artist. She created our Valentine’s Day design. Donna (right) dressed like Melisa (left), including some golden highlights in her hair.

Melisa Dresses like Jenni

Jenni(left) frequently wears head scarves. She also wears flowing, earthy tops and cardigans. Another trademark accessory is her nose ring. Which Melisa somehow managed to sport. How, I’m not sure.

Jenni Dresses like Mandy, or Mandy Dresses like Jenni

I think that Mandy and Jenni dress alike more often than not, but Mandy has a *touch* of preppy in her general style.

And Then There’s Fred

The only one brave enough to dress like Fred was Jennifer G. She nailed it. From the popped collar layered with the denim/buttondown shirt and Crocs with socks, Jennifer channeled the spirit of Fred. (Fred took this picture on his iPhone. Jen will probably kill me when she sees that I posted it.)

Nobody Dressed like the Blogger

I’m kind of offended. Not really, but how would someone need to dress if they were dressing like me? Like a logo embroidery machine attacked them in the closet. I have been known to wear a shirt with one logo, layered with a fleece sporting a different logo, and a baseball cap with a third logo, while carrying a tote with a fourth logo and my personal lunch cooler with a fifth logo. Not kidding.

I love love love it. It was a blast seeing everybody mix it up like that. Everybody that went for it really got it spot-on. Even tattoos were copied where appropriate and visible.

I dressed like everybody else without a distinctive style, btw. Jeans, sneakers and a t-shirt. I only wish I’d been able to find my cargo shorts so I could have been Stewart.

Jen G. does hate me now, but she’s still my friend.
