100th Anniversary of the Queensboro Bridge

Or as Fred says, “The only bridge to be named in anticipation of a shirt company.”

Actually, the bridge was completed in 1909. The pictures below are from the Greater Astoria Historical Society and the Roosevelt Island Historical Society book “The Queensboro Bridge.”

Here is the bridge, today:
