Halloween is coming! Before you know it, your kids will be dragging you around the neighborhood lugging laundry sacks full of candy. They will follow the annual trick or treating tradition by eating lots of sugar and bouncing off the walls for seven days in a row.
If you’re a tad worried that your precious pint or rebellious teenager is going to want to dress as something unsavory, you might be able to entice them to change their mind with a personalized Halloween costume from Queensboro! Here are some ideas for your trick or treaters:
NASCAR Driver
Queensboro’s Pit Crew Racing Shirt can be personalized with your child’s name on it. Kids can wear the men’s size small.
Presidential Candidate
I relentlessly make fun of all of the presidential candidates’ choice of dress. I am non-partisan in my critiques. Both major party candidates like to wear white or blue oxford shirts, with red or blue ties…to every single appearance. (Sometimes, if they are feeling edgy, they’ll wear light v-necked sweaters with their twill shirts)
So, if you or your kids would enjoy dressing up as a presidential candidate, you will want to try a combination of our Fine Gauge V-Neck Sweater, Youth Long Sleeve Easy Care Oxford, and/or the Men’s or Women’s Long Sleeve Performance Twill.
Doctor, Dentist, or Vet Halloween Costume
If you check Queensboro’s Workwear category, you’ll find scrubs and lab coats perfect for personalizing. If you have a quirky kid, he or she might enjoy being a “Mad Scientist” for Halloween. Get a lab coat with their name on it. Then help them do their hair so it is standing on end. A huge plastic beaker and a pair of gigantic glasses and you’ve got it made!
Golfer
My Dad always dressed up as a golfer when he took us trick or treating. It wasn’t really a stretch, since he spends every possible moment on the golf course. For golfers in training, consider personalizing a Queensboro golf towel and Youth Pique Polo. Those will be useful long after Halloween is over. Queensboro can hook up the adult golfers, too.
Weather Channel Reporter
For aspiring weather reporters, the Youth ¼ zip Pullover Anorak or Columbia Peaks Jacket will make great costumes. Queensboro used to sell the Columbia Peaks jacket to the Weather Channel, so this is quite the authentic costume choice!
Tiger Woods Halloween Costume
I dressed up during my senior year at Purdue as Tigress Woods. I wore my Nike golf apparel with Tigger (from Winnie the Pooh) ears and a tail! Queensboro now carries a full line of Nike golf wear, including the Nike Sphere Dry Cap, and the Nike Golf Pique polo. Add a Nike golf glove, some golf balls, and a golf club, and you Tiger Woods in training will be ready to hit the neighborhood for some fun!
If you’re scrambling around for Halloween costumes, look no further. Queensboro has a world of opportunities for unique costumes. These ideas certainly won’t break the bank, either, and the best part is that they are items that you would be proud to wear at any time of the year! Order soon to get your costumes for Halloween!

Follow up: Obama wore a blue tie to the second presidential debate in Nashville, and McCain wore a red and white striped tie. Look at the pictures from the debate! I’m not making this stuff up!
